  1. Zero understanding of how the push button is supposed to work. Nothing happens when I push mine. Taking it all apart but not feeling the love.

  2. Honestly I don't hate the studs on the back. Down the line, I think Lego should always allude to the fact that it's Lego. A fully SNOT-version wouldn't have the same charm to me.

  3. I have a slight problem with this set. Looking from the back side of the camera, the right tilted wall obstructs the shooting mechanism. This happens especially when I am supporting my right hand thumb to the tilted and straight-up wall. Have anyone else noticed? I rearranged the bits a bit, I placed the 2×2 wing to the top and then the dome hat to it. This leverage is just enough to keep the wall from obstructing the mechanism. But it also opens up the wall and I can see more of the insides.. Maybe I need to try to figure out a better solution to this. Also the flipping bottom tray broke once, but maybe it was just my luck.

  4. For less than 20e, I picked up the 3 in 1 Creator camera set 31147, as an impulse buy. For 89e, what they ask for this set, needs some more convincing.

  5. Why dont they just phase out stickers and just print the thing on the piece itself. You dont have to worry about it coming off or looking wonky.

  6. I will never understand the people who say stuff about that you could buy the real thing instead. They just dont understand the point of lego.

  7. Hi Tiago, love your work. Regarding the exposure dial decal, most Lego bricks have a slight oily film on them from release from their mould. This is not an issue with flat decals, but here this appears to be enough to prevent this one sticking. If you clean the part with mild detergent and dry, this decal will stick ok. Neal

  8. Just finished my set, but the photos will not eject. I went back, took things apart, but no I did not miss a step so I am very confused. Its like the photo is sliding UNDER the mechanism that is supposed to push it out. Very frustrated.

  9. I have a real camera home,i saw it on google it costed about 40 euro, this set isnt really worth it beacuse the set cost 80 dollars meanwhile i can get real camera for 40 euros alone, kinda mad price for the set but i can get it why would people buy it.

  10. Few stickers or none at all? ✅
Few QC issues if none at all? ✅
Reasonable size with features that makes for a small, simple, yet striking display piece? ✅
Easy to pack away in the event of moving? ✅
The only thing this set doesn't tick is value for money, but even then this set ticks more boxes than the OE could.
Even though I'm more of a train fan than I am photography nerd, this might actually be a day one purchase.
I also love that the team figured out a way to make the button work unlike the original submission, which relied on a Technic gear.
I feel as though sets like this are kind of the hallmark of what most Ideas sets should be, taking the submission and improving upon it where possible while keeping the core concept and identity resembling the original.
Thank you for the review as always Tiago, this set is definitely the redemption Lego Ideas needed after the OE.

  11. Awesome review as always and merry christmas, and wishes for a happy new year! 🎄 Now about the price tag you mentioned.I cannot agree more that this price is expensive for what it is and the pieces that counts, but we should learn by now that when it comes to licenses the price goes pretty high.Smaller sets with licensing that should go for 20 goes up 30 to 35 usually! Though i do like and respect the work in this i would prefer however to go buy a normal polaroid instead this one though.I don't know exactly what audience lego chasing with this kind of set though! 🤔

  12. I think your points about the back of the camera are well-taken. Instead of doing advanced gymnastics with ill-fitting plates, I think they should have taken a page from the Great Pyramid of Giza and used old-school roof tiles. It would have been solid.

  13. No, simply no, not at $80 dollars. $30 gets a real Polaroid camera and you can get film for it too. $100 gets a new Polaroid instant camera. I understand Legoized ships, cars and recreations of famous landmarks and paintings, but not something that’s obtainable at any yard sale.

  14. It's a nice rendition in Lego of this iconic camera, but 80 usd is crazy, especially considering the stickers. For a display piece, one sticker curling up so soon is pretty abysmal…

  15. Its definetly a no for me… too many things that botters me, specially the rubber.
Since its only for show, wouldnt it be better to just buy a real polaroid? It doesnt even need to be working.
