One more Polaroid lift from the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It had been bucketing down rain the day before which meant this random waterfall on the side of the road was pumping. I had to open the camera and snap this photo quickly before another pesky tourist crept into the composition.
Captured using my Polaroid Sun 660, the polaroid transfer, or emulsion lift, is a technique unique to polaroid film where you separate the photo from its original substrate and move it to another bit of paper. The image becomes malleable when doing this, allowing you to shift and fold it into unique and interesting arrangements. Such a cool and alternative way to use an instant camera, and easy to do at home!

hey just curious, why are you doing this? iโve never seen it before and it certainly looks cool, but is it like โprintedโ on the paper now or what was your goal? (again, just super curious ๐
That's pretty cool! Just hot water and a lot of patience?
