Willed back into existence by forces of good, Polaroid has enjoyed 16 years back on store shelves, with a brand new set of cameras to support their cornerstone film stock. In this video, we compare every modern Polaroid camera, as well as look back on some classics that are still worth a peep!

What i love how the clear ones look??? What????
I have a Polaroid ProPack Camera. Sadly it seems film for isn’t made anymore. But, I learned to perfect my zone focusing and composition on it. Also it looks/looked cool with its collapsing bellows lens.
The I-2 is often on sale for black Friday on the Polaroid website so if you really want one, wait till November. I paid $399 for mine, and I absolutely love it.
My shots never look this good.
The best Polaroid photos I have ever taken is with my second 670 AF. (second because the First one had issues with light meter)
Got it for 20 Bucks including the box like Brand new off the shelf. Exposure and sharpness are on point 😍
With Polaroid Go I have Bad exposure issues so I can‘t recommend it sadly 😢
Lest just hope polaroid releases a gen 3 this spring and improves Image quality like in the now cameras 😊
I really enjoy I-2 but its lightmeter makes me sad regularly (even after firmware update)
Now we need a vintage Polaroid video
Where do you recommend sending a SX70 sonar for repairs? (I'm in the US)
"with vibes remaining an essential metric for how people make decisions in 2026"
Sad but true
i got the flip and all my photos just come so underexposed, its insane. where they look b&w
Shoot. Was just deciding between a now plus GEN three or a flip and bought a flipp two days ago. Now I’m thinking about returning it. I trust this guy more than anything.
I have a now+. I love the build, I love using the app, would not cringe at buying the i2, BUT:
I'm really struggling finding film that isn't ruined or out of date or whatever. Shying away from polaroid entirely just based on bad film
Thanks always for your work and dedicated contributions. For me clarity of image is everything. I don't need maximum sharpness, but I do have some standards. My first instant camera was one of the cheaper Polaroid options before the current lineup, and while it introduced me to some of the witchcraft and wizardry that is instant film, the softness of the images that I was getting along with the time that it would take for the magic to happen was the reason that I afterwards got a Fuji 500AF that I lovingly used until its inevitably mechanical demise. It's great that Polaroid has cheaper options, but unless things have changed would you say that Fuji offers sharper looking images at comparable price points – if that's what someone is after? (Of course the 500AF is not a comparable option now haha).
Hard to tell on a screen , but the photo difference between the cheap Now camera and the expensive i2 wasn’t huge certainly hundreds of £££ different? I personally thought the sx70 shot at the end was the best.
My first Polaroid was an Impulse AF—the one to blame for this damn addiction. Then came the OneStep+ because I wanted to get a 'taste' of the i-Type life. I’ve since relapsed with a 670AF, and now I have a 2003 Polaroid One on the way (yes, I have 'The Syndrome,' I know). I have to confess, I love vintage cameras; there's a certain comfort in knowing that as long as there’s film in the camera, there’s battery.
I still have a painful memory of being 'betrayed' by my OneStep+; we’re still friends, but things just aren't the same. I’ll also say it loud and proud: I enjoy the guilty pleasures of Instax too! Yes! It started with the Instax Wide 100, then a hilarious Minion Mini, the SQ20, and the SQ6.
Thanks, Ben, for trying to make me understand that there’s a Polaroid out there for me and that I just need to pick a favorite. I think I’m still in time to save myself and choose 'the one' before I actually have to sell a kidney to fund this hobby.
Hii! Thank you for your video! What tripod do you use for your polaroid cameras? I haven’t been able to find one that works for my polaroid 🙁
Yay, Ben's here! 😁😁
How did you get all of them with a transparent case?!?! They look so cool!! 😮
I'm curious why the SX-70 is the crown jewel, and not the SLR680 🤔 Don't tell me I have to get another vintage Polaroid 😅
What bag are you using at 13:28?
Still rocking my Impulse Sears Edition 👌
Think I was one of the few who loved the Vision / Captiva small format SLR that Polaroid made. Such a good design and the way it stored the taken pictures with the body was great. I took hundreds of pictures with them ,still have most ,still as they were when I took them ,vibrant colours,no fade. I triec once to convert one to use Instax Mini film but it was just too difficult for a plethora of reasons……
Keith Haring in the house. You and Just another Chris are the instant photography gurus. I prefer instax. The colors are amazing. More for your money and way cheaper film than polaroid. I like shooting 600 in my I type camera. I think it comes out looking better than in the 600 camera. Plus the I type has features on it.
Mr. Instant, are there any negatives for converting an SX-70? Is it worth it to own a modded and an unmodded one? Maybe a SX-70 and a 600 camera? Will daytime portraits look better on SX-70 film due to a wider aperture? Will I ever stop asking questions?
I think the die hards should list their own camera in order of use 🙂
I-2 > SLR670S > Now + (Gen 2 and 3, not 1) > Flip > Go > Sun 660 (that's the one I happily pass around for parties) > SX-70 > SLR680 (because its damn fragile)
Yay big up to the Sun 660!
On the other side, the I-2 does have its niggles, like not being able to eject hold in the app, for example.
I think the Flip deserves the extra half star for one single feature alone….. the clamshell acts as a power on/off, which for all of us die hard owners of all the other cameras in this video, the power can accidentally be turned on and then even worse eject a shot.
Dan, the man with the omega-level transition!!!!!!
Main flaw of modern Polaroid is having high quality capable cameras with extremely poor quality integral film comparing to 80s and 90s. And they don't seem to care about improving it to those old standarts even with new formulations.
