  1. Less than half a year with mine and absolutely love. Gotten more comfortable shooting manually than when I first got it and learned to quit fighting trying to hand hold indoors and putting it on a tripod which produces quality images even though I’d like to hand hold indoors still. Any tips there?

  2. I've been wanting to pick up a Polaroid camera – I had one of the Fujifilm mini equivalents about a decade ago – and I've been torn between this and the now plus.
Still a bit torn but feeling the now plus will be better for budget and use!
    Great video! Very informative!

  3. Thank you for your great videos! They got me into shooting Polaroid. I love my I2 (used) but really struggle with compositions and getting good results. Would you have any advice? Thanks!!

  4. What does it mean when you’re going to take a photo with the i2 and within the display it gives you an exposure comp reading different from what you might have? Is that telling you what it recommends you change it too? For example, let’s say I have it on 0 but when I focus on my subject, the camera gives +2 stops

  5. I have one. Around 20 packs were shot on it in less than a year. In general, I underexpose 2/3 or 1 stop in bright outdoors to have consistent results. But man, the trick with shooting through the glass — I've searched for a way to override the autofocus and nothing, really nothing tells you how. Thanks, now I know 😀

  6. There's actually a second hidden feature: when you keep the shutter button pressed after you took a picture then the polaroid won't immediately pop out!
Only after you let go again. This can be useful for shooting animals or for street photography.

  7. Great update. Your initial review of this camera was what got me into your channel 2 yrs ago. I was thankful you were the only creator honest about the flaws, and you were instrumental in getting this information out far enough where Polaroid could pick up on community feedback & correct some of these issues.
Thank you for being a helpful & reliable staple in the spirit that keeps Polaroid alive in 2025.

  8. I've been trying to love the i2. My problem has been with the camera not focusing accurately most of the time. Granted, these shots were done indoors and left the camera to do it's thing. They claim close focus of about 0.3 to 0.4 meters. The camera has a tendency to back focus. The camera is unpredictable. I've ended up buying variants of SX-70's because they are more stable, more predictable and love being an SLR so I see my composition versus guessing with their rangefinder. Only reason why I still have the i2 is that the used market is flooded with them and used camera dealers don't want i2's. I am waiting to see what that start up that is promising a SX-70 like folding SLR that shoots on Instax Square. Polaroid is spared because of their black and white film (which I do really love).

  9. There are tons of cold shoe that can be found on Amazon for only a couple of bucks. They have an adhesive to attach it to the camera.
I have one on each of my polaroid cameras (yes even the Go) and a couple of cheap flashes. I set them to S2 and when the built in flash fires so does the external one. It may take a little time and practice to learn how much power to set the external flash to, but it's not to hard. Best of all if you buy the right flash you can adjust it to bounce up, toward a wall and so on.

  10. IMO the best way to do replacable batteries for electronics these days is to have a pair of 18650 Lithium cells inside. Adds a bit of bulk, and spring tabs instead of welded battery tabs makes you lose a bit of current capability, but instant cameras probably aren't pulling too much current anyway. Just have it under an unscrewable panel, acts exactly the same until the battery capacity gets annoyingly low, then you buy a couple new cells online and replace it.

  11. Huge fan of your videos! Had one question, I’ve current got a now gen 2 (non-plus), do you think it would be worth upgrading to the flip? Looking for sharper photos with abit more pop

  12. I am currently on my second i2 ,both bought second hand , sold the first I had because of exposure issues ……. 50% blown out shots , this current one I have tends to expose correctly , maybe under exposes ……… with the i2 I would say , all cameras are different and quirky in their own ways . I do love the i2 though and bargains can be found on them used. When a shot lands with the i2 it looks
    Beautiful 👌

  13. I have a Flip that seems to mostly take passable photos. My struggle right now is with the film itself, it's not an exaggeration to say I could manually develop and print 35mm faster than i-type color achieves enough contrast to see what's going on in the picture.
Hoping they resolve that and do another batch of duo-chrome pretty soon, since I want to try it.
