  1. Love your streams as always! I had a Now gen 2 that I sold to upgrade to the Flip, and while I absolutely love it and don't regret upgrading, I think you absolutely hit the nail on the head about the feeling of using it. IMO they have made the exact opposite of the camera they intended. If I handed my Now off to friends or family to take a pic of me, it would come out fine. My experience with the Flip is the exact opposite. Did the waiter get a teensy bit of the top of your glass in frame, because congratulations, that's the only part of the photo that's in focus and girls night is just a blur in the background. It benefits hugely from exposure comp, framing awareness, and app controls. I love its quirks, the new flash, the on camera controls, double exposure (especially with the flash bar), and I enjoy wrestling with the controls and sonar-specific techniques to get the most out of it. But you are absolutely correct, this is not the camera where you can just point and shoot and expect reliably good results. (Also, I dunno if you encountered this, but the most frustrating "feature" for me is that manual focus mode doesn't disable the "Too Close" detection, so shooting through glass, porch screen, chain link fence, etc. is a nightmare even if you know the correct zone to select)

  2. Love your videos! Just a thought, have you updated the Flip software through the app? There have been a couple of updates. Maybe that could help 😊

  3. Glad I watched this. My OneStep2 is dying on me, and I was considering the Flip as a replacement, but I have a Killer Acid Polaroid 600 camera I haven't even taken out of the box. Think I will wait on the Flip!

  4. I’m pretty happy with my flip. Shooting in sunny Queensland, Australia, even in winter the skies all have a purple tint even with fairly fresh film but I won’t blame the camera for that. I haven’t seen a video with a really good explanation of manual mode with the app, if you ever wanted to do a deep dive into manual mode I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate it.

  5. I arrived at the beach for the week today and what do I naturally do? First thing, picked up the Flip at Target. We’ll see how it goes…

  6. Polaroid film is sold in stores at Best Buy Canada (also if you don't see it on the shelf some times its in the back stockroom), London Drugs, Walmart and most camera stores, Instax is more widely available. However stock has been low in stores the last 4-5 months.

  7. In the UK I cannot find a retailer besides Argos that stock i-type and Go film. If I want 600 or SX-70 I have to purchase direct from Polaroid

  8. The Flip is my favorite polaroid of all time. Finally a camera that gives me consistency in the film. And I went through almost $300 in film for my Vegas trip.
